Remember when you downed twelve margs in Cancun? Didn’t think so. This version from Pachanga Patterson, a new Mexican joint in Astoria, New York, replaces sugary mixes with hibiscus syrup for a more grown-up south-of-the-border libation.
La Pachanga Margarita
2 oz. Gran Centenario Rosangel tequila
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. P&H hibiscus syrup
1. Salt the rim of a rocks glass.
2. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into glass.
3. Top with a splash of club soda and slice of lime.
