When you don’t feel like cooking, it’s just another night of cake balls.
When Elizabeth Petty doesn’t feel like cooking, it’s another night of artfully devised, multicourse dining, complete with palette cleansers and wine pairings — in a stately townhouse.
Her new raw and vegan restaurant, aptly named Elizabeth’s Gone Raw, will make you forget that ovens, dairy farms, or carnivorism ever existed.
Standouts in the flavor, texture, and color categories include arugula with Asian pear-and-pistachio vinaigrette; creamy mushroom tarts; mind-altering baklava with walnuts and honey; and addictive kale chips.
Call ahead to reserve seats at prix fixe dinners and after-parties packed with DJs or speakers (authors, musicians, etc). And note that carryout lunch is on the horizon.
Which pretty much puts out the flame on your stovetop.
