Last week you did the mashed potato, stuffed yourself silly, and gave thanks for what you’ve got.

Today there’s a new reason to be grateful: Cork Market is opening.

An offshoot of coveted wine bar (and Sweetest Things 2008 winner) Cork, CM sells rare, small-batch wines and gourmet takeaway bites. Owners Diane Gross and Khalid Pitts handpicked both old- (La Montesa Rioja) and new-world wines (Vineyard 29 Cru) to please your palate.

Pair ’em with salads (egg salad with bacon and goat cheese), sandwiches, and heavy hitters, like Catalan meatballs and fried chicken. Blueberry buckle, scones, and fluffy focaccia are baked in house. Made-from-scratch sauces and spreads are also available (chorizo lemon garlic tomato sauce, chicken liver pate).

Tastings and classes are coming soon.

Sure to be top cellars.
