Who seems (out)fit for the Oval Office? For that, we have no pearls of wisdom. But Marlene Hu Aldaba does. Known for Hu’s Shoes and Hu’s Wear, the boutique owner is curating a winner, with partners Cameron Silver (of L.A.’s Decades) and party favorite Dom Pérignon. Their platform: an Inauguration Salon pop-up stocked with rotating vintage Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga, as well as contemporary numbers by Yigal Azrouël, Katie Ermilio, and Nikki Baker. Potential cabinet members include avant glam accessories, such as wooden minaudières by BowensBergeron Carved Couture and black lace d’Orsay pumps from Valentino. Sip champagne and take a victory lap in a couture bejeweled Christian Dior gown from the Palmyre collection of 1952. You wouldn’t be the first lady to wear it, but you’ll look like one. Inauguration Salon, at Hu’s Wear, 2906 M Street Northwest, between 29th and 30th Streets (202-342-2020 or husonline.com). Open Thursday through November 30.
