Get spooky, beautiful.
NuBe Green Trunk Show
What: The ecofriendly line launches its first women’s collection, NuBe Seattle, composed of sculptural garments from Vashon Island-based designer Adrienne Antonson, like the dress shown here.
Why: The one-of-a-kind frocks are locally constructed from cast-off materials and fibers from nearby sustainable farms. Plus, they rock an awesome Northwest/moody vibe.
When: Fri., 6-9 p.m.
Where: Western Bridge, 3412 Fourth Ave. S. (206-838-7444). Admission is free.
Halloween Artists’ Ball
What: Dress up as an artist or art object for an intimate bar party. Might we suggest a big, shiny bunny a la Jeff Koons or Damien Hirst-inspired dead shark?
Why: Fog machines, candy, booze, and DJ sets from Andy Arkley of The Bran Flakes and Library Science.
When: Fri., 8 p.m.-2 a.m.
Where: The Living Room, 1355 E. Olive Way (206-708-6021). Admission is free.
First ER Costume Crawl
What: Vito’s teams up with nearby Sorrento Hotel and The Hideout for a Pill Hill-themed bash.
Why: Freak out your neighbors by wearing bandages and fake blood. The crazier the getup, the better your chances of taking home a $500 prize.
When: Sat., 7 p.m.-2 a.m.
Where: 927 Ninth Ave. (206-397-4053). Admission is free.
The Undead Discotheque
What: Shake your moneymaker at a costume party with DJs Scratchmaster Joe, Eardrumz, and Jon Francois.
Why: It’s the perfect place to bust out those “Thriller” moves.
When: Sat., 9 p.m.-2 a.m.
Where: Vermillion, 1508 11th Ave. (206-709-9797). Admission is free.
