You’re no stranger to fortuitous accidents. Why just the other day, you came home tipsy, tripped over dirty laundry, and landed underneath your bed — where you found your missing earring.

Serendipity struck Jennifer Behr, too. On her way to a job interview, she inadvertently stumbled into a custom millinery shop — and into her new career. Now, after years of designing hair accessories (for Frédéric Fekkai, among others), she’s launching her first independent collection of headbands.

Way classier than the drugstore variety, they come in attention-grabbing colors (magenta, cobalt blue) and fabrics that lend themselves to different looks (casual in jersey, glam in silk, dramatic in leather).

So slip a classic band over your dirty do or wrap a Hepburnesque knotted turban around your matted locks. Just don’t be surprised if you get heaps of compliments.

Because it’ll hardly be a twist of fate.
