You’re ready to add a subtle hint of spring to your wardrobe, but all you can find are wildly colorful prints.
Shade your eyes and call on Scout, a new boutique (on the downslope of Pine Street) stocking your favorite shades of black, white, and gray.
The shop is low-key industrial with dark wood floors, heavy steel hardware, and a collection of soft-spoken pieces — for men and women — with prices that aren’t jaw-dropping.
The owners (veteran retailer Erin Dolan of Edie’s Shoes, SCCC Apparel Design grad Karen Krupp) make fashion easy with AG denim, C&C California jeans, skate/surf-inspired looks by RVCA, Factory by Erik Hart dresses, and striped socks from Richer Poorer.
Want to turn your outfit up a notch? Soft Collina Strada handbags (in dove gray, indigo, and natural) are arm candy. All you need is a little flash from Bing Bang jewelry to carry you from one season to the next.
