Tom Douglas, Seattle’s most famous chef, opens a new South Lake Union restaurant today, with two more on the way — all in the same building at 310 Terry Avenue North.
Got a hot date? Go for rustic Italian joint Cuoco, with its dark wood interior and specialty pasta station. Share forkfuls of artichoke ravioli with mascarpone or tagliatelle Bolognese near the open kitchen (along with a little canoodling).
If it’s an after-work drink you’re after, head to the laid-back Brave Horse Tavern for shuffleboard, Painted Hills burgers, beers (around 26) on tap, and a dedicated pretzel oven.
If nothing else, do lunch at Ting Momo, a cozy 40-seater spearheaded by Dekyi Thonden (Dahlia Lounge). Sample dumplings with curried eggplant, turmeric-spiced Idaho yak (yes, really), and hand-pulled noodles with lamb.
And you thought you had a lot on your plate.
For more information, call Cuoco at 206-971-0710, Brave Horse Tavern at 206-971-0717, and Ting Momo at 206-971-0720.
