We’re suckers for old-fashioned Americana (unless it means Christina bungling the national anthem).
So you can bet we’ll be sidling up to Greenburger’s, a new down-home Lower Haight restaurant from husband-and-wife team Matthew Nudelman and Stefanie Greenberg Nudelman. Inside, you’ll find vintage family photos, hanging succulents, a “suggestion map” for people to recommend dishes, and a condiment station atop an old Coca-Cola cooler.
As for the menu, we’ve paired it with some of our favorite all-American ditties:
“American Girl” — Five Dot Ranch burger on a brioche roll.
“Take Me Home, Country Road” — Made-to-order meatloaf atop mashed potatoes and doused with caramelized onion gravy.
“I Love L.A.” — The Cobb burger, with chicken, blue cheese, avocado, Zoe’s bacon, and Thousand Island dressing.
“Walking in Memphis” — Barbecue kurobuta short ribs with cornbread and coleslaw.
“Party in the USA” — Spicy buffalo mac ’n’ cheese.
“Sweet Home Alabama” — A milk shake and sundae bar for all your after-dinner needs.
And those are just the high notes.
