Your jeans? Limited edition. Jewelry? Bespoke. And you buy small-batch whenever possible.
The guys at the Mission’s Maverick know that making less means more demand. This coming Tuesday (and every Tuesday from now on), rush in to get just one of seventeen butter burgers from chef de cuisine Matt Brimer.
These patties aren’t for the faint of heart: Big chunks of beef get an overnight cure of salt and pepper, and then are ground with butter and cooked in a cast-iron pan. They’re served on a house-made English muffin slathered with spiked mayo, truffled cornichons, and smoked gouda (and with fries, of course).
The $17 price tag also gets you a perfectly paired glass of red from the restaurant’s daily-changing list.
Butter get there early.
