Our weather prediction for the Castro? Flooding. With stylish women.
They’ll be raining down now that the owners of Sui Generis scored a larger space on Market for their well-known men’s consignment boutique and opened a ladies’ shop in the old location.
There you’ll find the makings of your dream closet — once-worn quilted Chanel jackets, a gray drop-back Alexander McQueen dress, candy-colored cashmere sweaters, and unbelievable formal wear from the likes of Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta — for about 30 percent off original prices.
There are some edgier new pieces from up-and-coming designers (we’re coveting a sheer, beaded black cardi from Academy of Art grad Andrew Wedge). And, because one of the owners has worked in women’s wear with Ralph Lauren for years, expect excellent service, from styling to creating your own wish list.
The forecast is bright.
