“Here’s my handle” is not the best way to make a first impression — unless, of course, you’re a little teapot.
Drop the Twitter talk and book it to a make-your-own letterpress business card class led by Jordan Ferney, the infectiously fun party planner, DIY maven, and Oh Happy Day blogger.
The four-hour, $135 session will teach you to make 250 bespoke one-color calling cards. Choose from a variety of little patterns scribed by the woman herself, or design your own a week in advance and Ferney will have a unique photopolymer plate (the gadget that does the actual pressing) ready and waiting for you.
Enrollment is already open for the April 16 and 17 sessions; but there are only four sections and, trust us, they will fill up fast. Especially since each class has a strict eight-character limit.
Available at Ferney Art Studios, 766 Valencia Street, between 18th and 19th Streets, suite 23. Section one runs 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; section two runs 2-6 p.m. E-mail ohhappydayblog@gmail.com to register. To learn more, go to ohhappydayclasses.bigcartel.com.
