Your Bay to Breakers Snooki poof was spot-on, but all that hair spray and teasing created quite the split-end situation.
Soothe your strands at Cow Hollow’s petite new Belle de Soir. We tried the quaint three-chair salon’s Ionic Rescue Pro treatment ($85), and it left our tresses seriously shiny, manageable, and frizz free (without buildup — score!).
Stylist/owner Tracy Stanwick (formerly of Primp) painted a thick, crystal-flecked cream onto our wet hair, then used a flat-iron to force it into the cuticle (the steam and crackling noises mean the product’s soaking in). After a quick session under the dryer, the cream’s ionic charge locked moisture in. And so ended our abusive relationship with our hair.
It’s great for curls or chemically straightened hair, and for an extra $55, Stanwick can teach you tricks like paddle brushing in a one-on-one blow-dry lesson. Which should really help to smooth things out.
