You’ve dreamed of quitting your job to follow your passion.
Prepare to envy Dafna Kory of Inna Pickle Inna Jam, who put her video-editing gig on hold to make delectable, small-batch preserves and pickles.
Kory uses produce grown within a 100-mile radius of her Berkeley home base. For spring, there are two types of strawberry jam (sweet Albion and more tart Seascape), as well as cold-cured pickled carrots and Meyer lemons (delicious with meat and chicken).
Kory offers a yearly subscription, which gets you twelve jars of jam or pickles in three seasonal collections. And if you’re in the city, she’ll deliver them herself via bike — the best way to commute.
