6 p.m.: Reasonable, yoga mat-toting suspect leaves work, 100 percent sure it’s a brown rice and steamed veggies kind of night.
6:20 p.m.: Perp inexplicably ducks into corner Thai joint, exits with takeout pad thai and fried spring rolls.
Take the bite out of dinnertime indecision with Citizen Chef, a new line of no-brainer healthy meals that can be prepared in fifteen minutes (yes, we timed it). Each two- to three-serving box comes packed with raw veggies, a low-calorie sauce, and a wholesome grain.
An unexpected twist: They taste good. We dig the Tuscan lemon garlic saute with broccoli florets, baton carrots, and sweet red onion on couscous and the Thai sesame stir-fry over brown rice. There’s no protein, but we threw in chicken so we wouldn’t feel deprived.
Because that would be a crime.
