Dolores Park is buzzing — but not for fair weather or soon-to-be billionaires frequenting its grassy (ahem) hillsides.
Credit the Lee brothers: Their modern Korean spot, Namu Gaji (opening today), is part grown-up version of the Inner Richmond original (Namu), part nod to the bros’ street food past.
Sit street-side (ideal hipster-watching); get cozy at the communal table, highlighted by a massive redwood branch; or, if you’re lucky, perch at the chef’s counter overlooking the charcoal grill, where spring garlic-stuffed local squid meet their fate and the omakase-style prix fixe menu (coming soon) changes daily.
A take-out window hawks Korean tacos, fried chicken, and okonomiyaki (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), plus shaved ice with seasonal syrups (lychee, strawberry), red bean, condensed milk, and sake toppings until close.
Holy smokes.
