You’ve spent months agonizing over the perfect name. One that stands out, but not too much. One that breeds confidence, but not cockiness. One that looks as good on letterhead as the Billboard Top 100.
Before you get ahead of yourself, we’ve got two ideas for making it work on the nursery wall.
Designable Images
Photog Perry Chudnoff’s framed custom digital prints ($125 and up) hit right at the intersection of thoughtful and clever. After discovering a corner with his newborn son’s name (Jackson and Taylor), he was struck with the idea of personalizing street signs to pay homage to little urbanites. Currently, the images he uses are mostly from NYC, but keep an eye out for creations from Miami, D.C., and Chicago in the coming months.
Hoot Design Co.
Made-to-order, customizable ABC posters (start at $125) are a celebration of typography and your family. Choose from three levels of personalization. Levels one and two: You have creative control over four to eight key words or phrases (the rest of the letters comes from the premade Simply Baby Print). Level three: You supply ideas, names, and words for all 26 letters of the alphabet. Plus, once you’ve created your masterpiece, the company can turn it into a birth announcement about {insert clever name}’s arrival.
