Get Bamboo-zled

Bamboo Lounge Opens

bamboo lounge!

You’ve eschewed silk, chucked cashmere, and wouldn’t think of touching a synthetic blend.

Why? Because when that bamboo dress floated into your life, the ecofriendly material had you at hello.

So you’ll have no objection to slipping through the unassuming front doors (ignoring the ground-floor piano bar) and going up a staircase into Bamboo Lounge. The new top-floor bar opened yesterday, and it’s as sleek and stylish as the bestest things in your closet. The hideaway features chandeliers hanging from a bamboo ceiling, muted colors, a lacquered concrete floor, and an all-female staff dressed in New York underground designer Wade Blackman’s strappy halter dresses.

Of course, there’s bottle service. But the real treat is the signature drinks menu, which includes Osake (sake and pineapple-infused vodka) and Bamboo (rum with muddled lime, pineapple, and lemon).

So go hang out while the trend lasts.

Just make sure you’ve dressed the part.

Bamboo Lounge, 101 North 20th Street (215-636-0228).
