In this heat, you represent at ice cream parlors from the East to West Coast.
But here’s a scoop: Little Baby’s new spot is the joint.
Its mobile ice creameries dole out a handful of flavors; at the shop, choices expand to more than a dozen. That means extra space for floats and ice cream cookie sandwiches (snickerdoodle chai, blood orange black sesame).
The owners (who are former musicians) take a rogue approach. When word got out about the Four Loko ban, they stocked up to produce neon blue scoops. Champagne with Lucky Charms didn’t fly, but pizza — pale pink ice cream with speckles of oregano — remains a winner.
The interior is equally as zany; Jason Hsu’s mix of patterns makes for an atmosphere Flavor Flav would feel at home in.
That’s wassup.
