Why: Grab a drink and enjoy yourself before the battle over the guest list begins.

What: Supper’s chef Mitch Prensky graces the Fairmount area with casual snacks, sandwiches, and mains; The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. dreams up the masterfully made cocktails.
Why: Our New Year’s resolution? To eat more hearth-baked cavatappi, Prensky’s fancy interpretation of mac ’n’ cheese.

Neuma Moisture Intensive Masque Treatment
What: Loaded with plant extracts and essential oils, the formula nourishes even strawlike locks ($45 and up).

Walnut Street Supper Club
What: Bacall and Bogart would feel at home in the dining room tricked out with swank ’40s decor.
Why: Waitstaff and busboys croon standards onstage (and you thought balancing a tray of martinis was impressive).
