To wrangle all your favorite local wares in one day, you’d have to trek from Northern Liberties down to Passyunk.
Author, illustrator, and longtime Philly resident Alex Stadler has mercy on your feet by bringing dozens of hometown goods to the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s gift shop.
Check a few people off your holiday gift list with Bario-Neal’s environmentally conscious jewelry or Angela Davidson’s wacky crocheted creatures. Pick up Fabric Horse and R.E. Load bags or Stadler’s own line of bright scarves.
For foodie friends, there’s granola from Metropolitan Bakery (one of Stadler’s regular haunts), La Copine’s limited-edition sauces, and La Colombe’s coveted coffee beans. Even the display units were created by Andrew Dahlgren and students from the University of the Arts.
It’s a step in the right direction.
Available through December 31 at Philadelphia Museum of Art, Museum Store, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway (215-684-7960 or philamuseum.org), $3-$12,500.
