You’ve pulled out your best dress and headed to Lacroix at The Rittenhouse many times for a taste of Jason Cichonski’s fare.
But now that he’s partnered with fellow chef Chip Roman, the vibe couldn’t be more laid-back.
Here, Cichonski’s knack for unexpected combos has him swirling sweet potato soup with coffee caramel and pairing duck magret with pretzel spaetzle. Popcorn panna cotta with caviar, anyone?
Cocktails borrow their names from Brand New songs, and with monikers like Jude Law and a Semester Abroad (Bluecoat Gin, burnt sugar sage, absinthe) or Jaws Theme Swimming (toasted cedarwood, Lillet blanc), you’ll think twice about staying faithful to your usual vodka tonic.
Of course, you can skip dinner altogether to graze on wings and green curry olives at the bar or nosh on still-hot-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookie dough draped over vanilla semifreddo.
For which we’d give the shirt off our back.
