Though you hate to admit it, your flea market buys are better left unseen (recall last week’s ratty concert tee and a few chipped plates).
Stacey Bartholetti has the vision to trick out your pad in full retro style: She just opened Era Atomica, a boutique stocked with midcentury furniture and housewares.
Bartholetti was bitten by the collecting bug while decorating her own abode and now makes it her mission to unearth the best vintage finds for others. Offerings range from an original Starkey egg chair to quirky-cool lamps and drinking glasses.
Things go fast (case in point: the folding secretary), so if you spot something you like, act. Should you miss out, console yourself with the fact that new treasures arrive weekly. If you’ve got your hopes set on a specific ’50s-era piece, let Bartholetti know.
She’s happy to keep an eye out.
Era Atomica, 1726 East Passyunk Avenue (215-551-2345 or era-atomica.com), $2-$500.
