Friends rarely fight you for the last forkful of mac ’n’ cheese. They know better than to meddle with your carb obsession.
Ease away from the massive bowl of monochromatic starch and head to Avalon Pasta Bistro, opening Thursday. Chef John Brandt-Lee’s latest venture serves up flavorful noodles in body-conscious, European-style portions.
Start out with a salad and the antipasta platter. Then nibble crab and lobster ravioli in saffron tomato mussel jus or veal cheek ragu over pappardelle (Brandt-Lee’s current fave).
The restaurant is BYOB, so take your favorite bottle of red, or you can sip a complimentary pint of Victory beer or glass of house-made sangria.
Just remember, sharing is caring.
