At first glance, Austrian artist Lies Maculan’s The Dream Shop looks like an off-kilter boutique. But the NYC art installation, constructed from life-size photographs of objects and people, creates a surrealistic world where desires, wishes, and hopes are curiosities displayed on shelves.
