Bad news from the LES.
We hear you’re itching to check out the exposed brick dining room, quirky decor (copper ceilings, Cohen’s personal photos, a carved Filipino bike), and brightly painted back patio with bottomless, self-serve beer tap. Terrible idea.
If predictions prove accurate, Cohen’s piggy-centric shared plates will go fast. And you never know when she may need extra ingredients for sizzling sisig with pork head, liver, chili, and egg or grilled pork jowl with watermelon salad, fried pork rinds, and toasted rice.
You could walk the line and order kao soi curry with noodles two ways, chicken, and pickled mustard greens. And your pal, Babe, seemed to enjoy the cheap beer and Clinton St. Coolers last night.
We heard him squealing all the way home.
