As “Call Me Maybe” becomes redolent of warm months past, we urge you to handle the summer-to-fall transition like an adult — with (responsible) alcohol consumption. We asked Jason Littrell, one of the cocktail architects behind JBird’s menu, among others, to create a non-labor-intensive beverage with notes of both seasons.
Labor Day Pisco Punch
Makes one drink
2 oz. Alto del Carmen Chilean pisco
4 oz. Jarritos Tamarindo
Pinch of salt
Squeeze of lime
Grapefruit slice for garnish
1. In a highball glass, pour pisco and Jarritos over ice.
2. Add salt and lime.
3. Swirl; garnish with grapefruit.
