What: For only six nights, the Austin culinary bravado (and winner of Top Chef and a James Beard award) prepares a seven-course sneak peek of his new endeavor.
Why: Summery dishes, like tuna, lardo, crystalized soy, and melon and tomato water, mussels, celery, and basil blossom, prove there’s more to the Lone Star State than barbecue.

MCMC Scented Dinner Party
What: Brooklyn-based perfumers become the latest installment in chef Tessa Liebman’s Methods & Madness dinner parties with a four-courser and wine pairings to overload the senses (in the best way).
Why: Oysters with beach plum jam on a bed of rose-scented seaweed take their cues from a bottle of Maine, while the Noble variety informs the jasmine confit duck.

100th Mister Party

Why: Dancing among a bevy of balloons works up an appetite. Chow down on Sfoglini’s organic noodles and Country Boys’s tacos.
