You’re not a big fan of the sausage party — unless you’re committing to a night out in the Castro (or Marina, depending how you look at it).
Get a grip with Salumeria, the new deli and market from the very busy Flour + Water team, opening tomorrow.
The former actual sausage factory adjacent to Central Kitchen harkens to the old world with a central butcher block and olive-picking buckets-turned-lights, plus drying rafters (where lavender, peppers, and bay leaves may hang) and salumi racks on the way.
Drop in for artisanal chocolates, jams, house-made olives, fresh Flour+ Water pasta, sauces, or something more substantial (spit-roasted leg of lamb). Pork up with cured meats by chef Matt Sigler, Italian imports (serrano and prosciutto from Parma), and sandwiches (spicy coppa with prosciutto).
Or proceed to the shared courtyard with a meat platter, spiced pistachios, sweets from B. Patisserie, and wine.
Then go nuts.
