Matchy matchy is too cutesy cutesy for your taste. You prefer to mix it up and layer it on.
That’s the philosophy behind NYC-based Affinita’ Moderne, a bedding collection based on heirloom-quality fabrics meant to be mixed and matched.
Founded by fashion editor Debora Cicchini, the company sources pint-size textiles from family-run mills with serious respect for yarn. Its soft sheets, bumpers, and blankets are sold a la carte, so you can choose one pattern for the fitted sheet, another for the top sheet, and a third for the pillowcase. Finish the look with a cashmere coverlet or chunky, striped alpaca blanket (knit by Cicchini’s mother and friends in Italy).
We know you’ll be happy happy with the outcome.
Available online at affinitamoderne.com, crib and toddler sheets, $42-$137; blankets, $420-$550. Twin-size items are available by special order.
