One woman’s junk might be another’s treasure. But why settle for your sister’s hand-me-downs when there’s whimsical eco jewellery to be had?
Designer Anna Alicia transforms scraps of vintage kimono fabric, ceramic beads and dusty old chains into wearable accessories that will update any outfit. Collar necklaces with beading, long brass bar chains with dangling feathers, and bright clusters of pom-poms made from organic, fair trade cotton make for a tempting range that’s as fun as it is pretty.
Armed with a degree in fine art from Central Saint Martins, Alicia works from her studio in East London and credits overzealous houseplants and programmes about the outdoors for her collection. So don’t be surprised when wearing it feels like second nature.
Available online at aalicia.bigcartel.com, £16-£60.
