The Grove has gotten its groove back. Vince and Madewell are on their way. There’s a J.Crew store just for gents in the works.
But for those who prefer feasts to frocks (i.e., us), the biggest coup is Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant, The Fat Cow.
Situated next to the Pacific theater (dinner and a movie, voila), the celebu-chef’s latest concept plays down his fine-dining roots in favor of family-friendly American cuisine with the occasional nod to British comfort food (fish and chips, shepherd’s pie).
The menu changes seasonally, but current must-trys include pepper-crusted long rib and fontina cheese pizza with roasted figs. Swingles and off-duty parents savor specialty cocktails like the HK Anti-Oxidant (açai liqueur, blueberries, mint) at the bar, while caffeine addicts and sugar fiends curb cravings at the coffee and pastry kiosk.
Breakfast arrives later this month.
So you can put that box of frozen strudels out to pasture.
