In her addictive fashion blog, Closet Visit, photographer Jeana Sohn trains her lens on the wardrobes of L.A.’s most fashionable denizens (former DailyCandy editor Crystal Meers included).
Her personal site reels readers in with its mix of hip product recommendations, Closet Visit outtakes, and earnest journal entries.
Here, the power blogger talks about true love, art, and her baby bump.
Neighborhood: Hollywood Hills near Beachwood Canyon.
Occupation: Artist, photographer, and blogger.
Favorite L.A. style icon? I admire most of my Closet Visit subject’s styles. I love that they don’t just follow trends and know exactly what works best for them.
Finish this sentence: “If I won $100 on a scratch-off lottery ticket, I would…” That actually happened to me before, and I cashed out the money at Ralph’s and bought groceries.
What is the best meal you ever had in this city? Galbi jjim at Seongbukdong in Koreatown. It’s my current obsession!
Do you believe in love at first sight? Yes! As cliche as it may sound. It was love at first sight when I saw my husband for the first time even before I talked to him or knew his name. I stalked him and made him marry me. Ha.
What was the last art exhibit you saw? Hadley Holliday’s show at Taylor de Cordoba.
What’s on your bedside table? iPad, iPhone, a Diptyque lavender-scented candle, and a hypnobirthing book and CD (I’m due in August!).
L.A.’s best kept secret? Rancho Palos Verdes beach.
Which of your blog posts received the most reader feedback? I did a post about my honest feelings on my pregnancy and got so many great comments. I think my readers were happy to see someone not saying everything is magical and beautiful all the time.
