You’ve been high at Boundary and taken in the view at Shoreditch House. But when it comes to rooftop terraces, you wonder why all the best ones are in the East.
Allow us to provide some direction.
Nestled between Notting Hill and Holland Park on the former site of The Notting Grill is The Clarendon — a two-story cocktail bar and restaurant with a sunny terrace.
The ground-floor restaurant serves seasonal dishes such as fish fingers with fresh tartar sauce, lobster ravioli and The Clarendon Burger. In the bar and terrace there are small plates (jumbo prawns, cold cuts and cheese), but classic cocktails are the order of the day — think Bloody Marys, mojitos and old-fashioneds.
That’s how the West was won.

Correction: Eep! The Chanel Flash Mob is next week — 30 July, Thursday, 6 p.m. — not last night. (Are five people still a mob?) Our sincerest apologies. (Forgive us?)
