Trainspotting
The Deptford Project Cafe Opens

You’ve heard tales of life-changing cross-country train journeys, but so far your experience of the railways has been more Heathrow Express than Orient Express.
Next time, catch The Deptford Project cafe. Putting the reputation of the railroads back on track (no delays, friendly staff, plenty of room for everyone), this new converted 1960s commuter train carriage sits stationary in the old railway yard of Deptford Station.
Kitted out with quirky furniture (the toilet shed is a shrine to Elvis), the all-day eatery serves homemade organic food, including eggs from the cafe’s own free-range chickens.
Looking for a new creative platform? Soon the adjoining railway yard will act as a hub for artists, designers, performers and musicians to exhibit their work or stage performances.
Hurry up and get on board.
Slow coach.
