Hungry?
Prepare to pig out at Pitt Cue Co., now open in Soho. Last year’s food truck sensation (we remember those crowds) has a new, permanent space in which to serve some American-style barbecue.
Co-founder Jamie Berger and BBQ-obsessed chef Tom Adams have joined forces with the executive chef from Hawksmoor and the owner of The Albion for the no-frills, no-reservations spot with seating for 30.
Meatheads will be happy to hear the focus is on the food. Choose a main (pulled pork, beef brisket, St. Louis pork or beef ribs or sausage) with a side dish (baked beans, sprout tops, vinegar slaw, burnt-end mash), and you’re down less than a tenner. Everything is cooked over charcoal and wood, which adds rustic flavour.
Not full? Daily rotating extras and specials include smoked chicken wings and scratchings, pig’s head and barbecued faggots.
If you can stomach them.
