To get your mind off the wind, pop-up snowstorms, and dry elbows, we asked Fatty Crew’s (Fatty Crab, Fatty Johnson’s, Fatty ’Cue) beverage director Adam Schuman to come up with something alcoholic. The resulting refreshment is best sipped by a fire whilst wearing head-to-toe velvet.
Cozy Nook Cocktail
2 oz. Zaya 12-year Trinidadian rum
½ oz. Amontillado
¼ oz. cinnamon syrup
¼ oz. lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
1. Stir everything together.
2. Pour over ice in a rocks glass.
3. Garnish with lemon and orange twists.
4. Sip with abandon.
