Enamored with the DIY look but hindered by a lack of talent? Put event planner, designer, and artist Ashley Meaders in your corner.
First drawn to her fabric garlands, we’re now mesmerized by her crafty vision of the modern wedding.
More art installation than decor, everything she does is custom and handmade. From an entryway covered in streamers, braided fabric, and lights to an aisle draped in garlands, her affairs live in the same visual family as A Midsummer Night’s Dream or a happy Burton film (think Big Fish).
Past free-spirited events have included youthful ribbon swings, mobiles, oversize flowers (paper and fabric), letterpress invites, and daedal photo booth backgrounds and props.
She offers three levels of design: from one to two elements to full-service planning, including venue, vendors, and day-of setup. Because who wants to DIY?

Helena Stuart got her start (and her line’s name) selling heart-shaped goods in her little NYC shop. Good thing she branched out — her lacy, sexy-sweet underthings are so pretty, you’ll be dying to show them off. Take up to 60% off on Swirl.
