If Batman taught you anything, it’s that you’re never fully dressed without a cape.
Dark Knight aside, nobody knows the superhero staple like designer Leslie Tessler.
Three years ago the fashion industry vet packed for Argentina, intent on learning to roll her Rs. She soon went batty for the brilliantly hued textiles she found, creating outwear for friends and family and launching an eponymous collection.
The result is classically cool with just enough flair to stand out in any big city — punchy mustard-colored cloaks, deconstructed turquoise boleros, and other cold-weather covers crafted from Northern Argentine-inspired wool, Italian cashmere, and French silk.
Each is made by hand in a very limited quantity. And Tessler welcomes you to choose your buttons.
Available at leslietessler.com, $295-$425.
