Apparently three days of warm weather is all it takes to get us to strip down.
That and today’s launch of veteran designer Lauren Moffatt’s first swimwear collection.
Inspired by sexy yet modest shots of her mom on the beach in the ’70s, Moffatt designed the suits to work for the every girl. Fans will relish Moffatt’s boho prep in understated though alluring pleats, stripes, and contrasting solid colors evocative of a lazy summer.
Rock the dainty, nautical red, white, and blue bikini, or be a lady in a one-shoulder paisley suit with pleated neckline. A solid coral one-piece with mustard ruffle pulls double duty under jorts, while a graphic tricolor (melon, white, shamrock) bandeau leaves little to the imagination.
The line is designed and produced in the city, though we suspect it’s more suited for getting sandy out East.
Time to grin and bare it.
