For many a talent, pseudonyms breed success: See George Eliot (actually Mary Ann Evans), Ralph Lauren (really Ralph Lifshitz), and Lady Gaga (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is a mouthful).
Scrawl Jenny Pennywood onto the list of notable monikers. The name, employed by artist and designer Jen Garrido, represents a creative enterprise as colorful and playful as it sounds.
Tactile lines and irregular graphics (reminiscent of an arrowhead or chevron) are like the casual musings of a creative architect. From Garrido’s pint-size notebooks filled with neon pages (designed in collaboration with local studio Olive-Route) to patterned pillows at The Curiosity Shoppe to custom paper and textiles for a quirky couple’s nuptials, her imaginative pursuits put the Pennywood stamp almost anywhere (ideally everywhere).
Garrido loves custom work, so holler at her while she’s still available.
We have a feeling she’s about to blow up.
