An Open Letter
Vintage Journals by Freda Hamric

Dear Diary,
I’m sorry, but our time has come. As in the dozens of sad love stories I’ve inscribed in you, I’ve fallen for someone else and have to move on.
But this time, it’s not a washed-up bass player or skinny jean-wearing bartender. (You know better than anyone how those scenarios turn out.)
No, today I fell for a Vintage Journal by Freda Hamric. The Austin designer roams libraries for discarded classic books — The Scarlet Letter, Light in August — and recycles them into beautiful diaries.
She binds the original covers with new spines and randomly mixes blank ecofriendly paper with pages from each chapter. So when I write, my scribbles will sit next to works by literary greats.
Which, as you know, might be just the boost my poor penmanship needs.
Sincerely,
Me
P.S. Thanks for the memories.
