What do you get when you cross two thirtysomething SMU grads and a bellyful of Bolsa? Well-fed ponies.
No, silly. The Find Auctions.
While lunching last spring, Misty Persefield and Julie Wetzel dished about a fixed-price auction site selling their favorite things. Last month they officially debuted the online boutique with accessories and home decor via Facebook.
Every Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m., the ladies unload limited quantities of trendy loot — animal-print scarves, graphic table linens, colorful envelope clutches — priced below retail. Like the page then stake your claim on items (refresh often for best results) by commenting on photos with the word sold alongside your email address.
Winners are listed online and receive a PayPal invoice (including $3 shipping and sales tax) by Thursday. Most items are mailed upon payment, but custom monogrammed orders, which are stitched locally, take up to two weeks.
You heard it straight from the horse’s mouth.
