Symptoms: Depression, boredom, and a general lack of luster.
Diagnosis: Black-and-white thinking.
Recommendation: Gray Living, an adorable new home shop in downtown McKinney.
The first retail store by Aidan Gray, the beloved European-inspired furnishings wholesaler, is part shabby chic, part modern country with neutral colors, rustic metal, worn wood, and aged mirrors. Expect cozy furniture (big linen chairs, sweet settees, whitewashed tables) and one-of-a-kind vintage finds, as well as pillows, lamps, and gifts like stylish matchboxes and apothecary jars.
Head north for the grand opening for free drinks and snacks from neighboring organic bistro La Misha and a candle with your purchase of $50 or more.
It’s just the fix you need.
Gray Living, 113 North Kentucky Street, suite 102, McKinney (972-542-0033 or grayliving.com). Grand opening, Friday, 6-8 p.m.
