Before outside beckons, give them one last good show at Hobbitland. The refreshingly under-the-radar Ukie Village romper room busies children 6 months to 6 years with an assortment of toys, games, and play environments.
It’s run by two creative mom pals (an artist and a photographer/filmmaker) whose indie sensibilities shine through in an intimate, almost gallery-like space. Instead of slides, jungle gyms, or a barrage of ride-ons, they look to simple pleasures like a tea party area, reading corner, train table, and doll tree house to ignite imaginations.
Everything pops against colorful murals of fairies, castles, and flowers. In fact, it’s all so cheerful, you might return for an encore.
