Changing careers is usually a daunting endeavor. For Cindy Gapinski, it was easy as pie — literally.
A few months ago, the former ad exec threw in the corporate towel to focus on her real passion: food. She started by baking mini pot pies for her friends at Logan Square Kitchen. Dozens of rave reviews later, Small Comfort was born. Today Gapinski busily cooks, freezes, and delivers delectable mini pies to your door, ready to heat and eat.
Buttery crust and hearty broth (both made from scratch) set the stage for wholesome flavors: classic chicken (a customer favorite), potato leek (with a tangy Parmesan crust), roasted root veggie (sweet potatoes, carrots, turnips, parsnips), and shepherd’s (roast beef with mashed potato topping). Veggie pies can be made vegan upon request.
Stock up (they’re only $7-$8) and pop ’em in your oven when you’re hungry — or just craving some comfort.
