Imagine packing for a weeklong trip and taking only one sweater. It’s possible, if that sweater is from Lunalba’s fall collection.
Lunalba’s ambition is stated in its name: Italian designer Nadia Bozzetti wanted to create a line that could be worn “from sunrise to sunset.” (Luna is moon; alba, dawn.) With the recession in mind, she crafted soft silhouettes that combine both high fashion and comfort, and can be worn myriad ways. Bozzetti covered all the bases: coziness (everything is 100 percent cashmere), a flexible color scheme (black, ivory, gray, and rose), even allergies (there’s soy cashmere, if you can’t wear wool).
Conjure a way cooler Miss Mary Mack with the convertible banner cardigan (yep, it buttons up the back — and can be worn three ways). The reversible cadet sweater ties at the neck and nips flatteringly at the hips and wrists, a seamed tunic gives your tush just enough coverage, and you’ll toss your boyfriend’s button-down after slipping on the dolman-sleeve sweaterdress.
Available at Krista K, 3458 North Southport Avenue, at Cornelia Avenue (773-248-1967 or kristak.com), $271-$300.
