From Dawn to Duskin

Duskin Designer Clothing for Fall and Winter

duskin dresses and tops for fall and winter!

Stephanie Tran named her new line Duskin after a friend from her elementary school days. If the clothes in her debut collection are any indication, that was one stylish kid.

Tran was an editor at Vogue, designed for Forever 21, worked alongside Salma Hayek’s stylist, and colaunched the coveted line Wren — so clearly, her own good taste has taken her pretty far in life. This fall the look is both classic and ethereal, combining simple silhouettes and romantic detailing.

Georgie, an airy Swiss-dot tie blouse, enhances anything from jeans to a work skirt. Made from a metallic-flecked Italian fabric, the Amy party dress flatters every shape with its nipped waist. Alice, a flowy, nearly backless dress, has a double layer of satin chiffon, front pleats, a ribbon tie, and the sweetest rosette on the shoulder. The ivory Clara (Alice, but ankle length) screams barefoot wedding.

A quiet, vintage-tone palette (black, white, rose, and metallic lilac) and subtle textures (sequins, beads) with quality embroidered Indian silks mean these clothes are built to last. Just like a good friendship.

Available at Roslyn, 2035 North Damen Avenue, at Dickens Avenue (773-489-1311 or roslynboutique.com), $275-$495.
