When you type “B” into Google, “baggy sweaters” pops up first.
You need an intervention.
Acceptance is easy in the form of hand-embroidered clothing and accessories from Atelier Azza, now available at Roslyn.
Local designer Azeeza Khan’s South Asian heritage heavily influences her aesthetic: pure silks and rich textiles in an array of hues (persimmon, cobalt, bright pink); embellishments (studs, crystals) that add pizzazz without feeling over-the-top.
Gold and pewter collars of the pointed and Peter Pan varieties get the royal (read: crystal) treatment. Make a subtle statement with easy tie-on belts, tanks with beaded necklines, and our favorite, the studded black blazer.
Looking for something specific? Roslyn plans to show a rotating selection of Khan’s samples, along with a book of color swatches for custom orders.
“B” is for bespoke.
Available at Roslyn, 2035 North Damen Avenue, between McLean and Dickens Avenues (773-489-1311 or roslynboutique.com), $225-$3,500. To see styles, go to atelierazza.com.
