Your daydreams have you jetting off for international shopping sprees, but that far-from-fantastical clothing budget confines you to the T.
Cool your heels: Vira has landed. The new high-ceilinged Beacon Hill boutique houses a 747’s worth of global designers seen nowhere else in the city.
Native Bostonians and FIT grads Radhika Rana and Vivek Patel channeled their love of fashion and travel into a respite filled with worldly finds (jewel-tone dresses and dust jackets from Mumbai’s Masaba; sweaters from Parisian label Vertigo; pale, flirty separates from Singapore’s Al & Alicia). Need summer staples? Silky-soft stretch tees from Australia’s Sosume fast become warm-weather faves.
Prices don’t come close to the cost of a plane ticket. And in the coming months, the store will debut home accessories, men’s wear, and its own Indian-inspired line of scarves, blazers, and coats.
Bon voyage.
